Overview

Bowers Builders Ltd (2006) undertook a comprehensive fit out project for Studio Pilates International in Merivale, transforming a dated retail space into a sleek, modern reformer pilates studio. The project demanded a full demolition and extensive refurbishment, adhering strictly to the franchise's brand specifications.

Project Scope

Shop Fitout: The complete redesign and fitout of the existing retail space to meet the specific needs of a modern pilates studio.

Demolition: The space was entirely gutted, with all debris removed and disposed of in an environmentally responsible manner.

Interior Reconstruction:

Walls: New internal walls were constructed, followed by finishing with Gib and a fresh coat of paint.
Ceilings: Installation of custom cornices and ceiling roses to enhance the aesthetic appeal.
Joinery: Custom bespoke joinery included a credenza, reception desk, and a functional kitchenette.

Finishing Touches: Application of high gloss paint and attention to finer details throughout the space to ensure a premium finish.

Management and Coordination

The project required meticulous coordination of in-house trades alongside subcontractors and external contractors, all managed efficiently by Bowers Builders. This included:
